Xiamen-Cardiff Seminar

Large scale structure simulations and cosmic angular momenta

Speaker: Haoran Yu (Xiamen University)
Date: Friday 17 December 2021
Time: 9:30
Venue: Zoom

I will discuss our recent developments of N-body simulations of the large scale structure, together with some of the applications to understand the initial conditions of the universe. They include primordial density reconstructions, angular momentum of cosmic structure, neutrino mass, chiral violations.

Short bio: Hao-Ran Yu graduated from Beijing Normal University (B.Sc., in 2009) in Astronomy and (Ph.D. in 2014) in Astrophysics. He then was a postdoc fellow in Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics (Peking Univ.), Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (Univ. of Toronto) and Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (Shanghai Jiao Tong Univ.). In 2019 he joined XMU as an associate professor. His research interests include large scale structure simulations and high performance computing, neutrino mass, galaxy angular momentum.
